LOCKIN ("we," "us," or "our") is an academic planning application operated by THINQ Design, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the LOCKIN application at www.adhdlockin.com (the "Service").

• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture provided through Google OAuth sign-in.
• Phone Number: Provided voluntarily for SMS notifications. Verified through a one-time confirmation code.
• Academic Information: Course details, syllabi, assignments, study schedules, and related academic data you enter into the Service.
• Usage Data: Check-in responses, study block completion, and engagement metrics used to personalize your experience.
• Accommodation Information: 504 plan details you voluntarily provide to customize scheduling and study recommendations.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the Service, including AI-generated study schedules and recommendations.
• To send SMS notifications including morning study priorities, deadline warnings, evening check-ins, and streak reminders (only if you opt in).
• To track your academic progress and provide insights.
• To improve and develop the Service.

4. SMS Messaging

If you provide your phone number and complete verification, you may receive the following types of SMS messages:

• Daily morning study priorities
• Evening check-in prompts
• Deadline warning alerts (24 and 72 hours before due dates)
• Study streak reminders

Message frequency varies based on your schedule and preferences (typically 2–4 messages per day). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or disabling SMS in your account settings. Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for delivering LOCKIN notifications through our SMS provider (Twilio).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Twilio (SMS delivery), Google (authentication), and cloud hosting providers that help us operate the Service.
• AI Processing: Academic data may be processed by AI models to generate personalized study plans and recommendations. This data is not retained by AI providers beyond the immediate request.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

LOCKIN is designed for high school and college students. Users under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian create the account through the Family plan and provide verifiable parental consent. By creating a Family plan account and adding a student under 18, the parent/guardian confirms their consent to the student's use of the Service and agrees to these Terms on the student's behalf.

For students under 13, additional protections apply as required by COPPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete such information.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of SMS notifications at any time

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
